The Nest in Dalston – once Barden’s Boudoir - is fast pulling it out of the bag in terms of unmissable line-ups, even mid-week.
Take next Friday 24th June for instance. Normally the mere mention of Ivan Smagghe and Andrew Weatherall (last seen wandering up and down outside our local) on the same bill is a coup guaranteed to pull a roadblock crowd. The Nest though also has them playing back to back for a full six hours! Even better, it’s free before 10pm. Advance tickets have understandably sold out so get there early to avoid weeping into your Blueberry Cider – genuinely available on Stoke Newington Road. Entrance is a mere paltry fiver.
