Breakthrough DJ/producer of 2014:

Much like his compatriot (and regular sparring partner) Deadmau5, Kaskade aka Ryan Raddon is known as one of the scene’s more outspoken names. In spite of the fact that he recently celebrated his 43rd birthday, Kaskade — as you can read below — tells us: “Anyone over the age of 30 is suspect in a nightclub”. While we’re not sure we share those sentiments, it’s always wise with Kaskade that you don’t let his words cloud his achievements. After all, this is a man with an unrelenting work ethic (he released his first tune back in 2001), and there’s no doubting that his success is far from an overnight one.

Another regular in Sin City, Vegas has given the US jock a new lease of life, introducing him to a whole new audience in the process. His chart success has continued unabated too, while he also racked up two Grammy nominations in 2013 for ‘Atmosphere’ (and an LP of the same name) on the mega label that is Ultra Records. Despite being born in the birthplace of house music, Chicago, Kaskade’s current sound agenda is firmly fixed towards EDM and progressive pastures. Considering the levels of success he’s reached in his chosen scene, we’re guessing this will remain the case for some time yet.
