LAS VEGAS CLUBBING GUIDE

There was a time when Las Vegas was referred to as ‘the new Ibiza’. The similarities were there for all to see; 24–7 partying, outdoor clubs, the world’s biggest DJs and a city defined by an ethos of partying. These days, no such comparisons are required. Las Vegas is Las Vegas - America’s biggest, boldest and most decadent retreat for the hedonistic, wealthy and fun-loving is a unique entity!

Things really stepped up for Vegas five years ago. As the EDM express surged through mainstream America, the promoters and venues in this patch of land in the Nevada Desert were quick on their feet - building futuristic, super-charged nightclubs and inviting the world’s biggest DJ talent to hold fort. It was a smart move. Las Vegas quickly became a figurehead of the EDM movement; the ultimate weekend pilgrimage for lovers of four-four beats.

Fast forward to 2014 and the Vegas scene is simply bursting with opportunities. So whether you are a dancefloor soldier, a VIP lover or candy raver - Vegas will have something to suit you. Here is your guide to finding it.

PARTY BY THE POOL
Many of Vegas’ clubs are split into ‘day’ and ‘night’ venues. During the day you can party in the desert heat, by cooling off in the muti-layered pool at Marquee (At the Cosmopolitan) or at nearby Encore (At The Wynn). This is pretty much the most fun you can have in a Las Vegas afternoon. Kaskade’s poolside sets at Marquee Day Club have become the stuff of legend and are not to be missed!

LET’S RAVE
Once per year, Vegas is overun by candy ravers as the Las Vegas Motor Speedway track is liberated by EDC. The event, which takes place from June 20nd–22nd features pretty much every EDM DJ you have ever heard of. The best bit is that they all head back to the strip to carry on the party after the event. We are throwing a series of parties at Marquee with Armin Van Buuren, Porter Robinson and Dash Berlin among others.

AFTER DARK
Once the desert sun drops over the horizon, Sin City comes to life. This noturnal playground has been bolstered in the last twelve months by the arrival of some super hi-tech churches of dance. Hakkasan - new home to heavyweight DJ talent including Tiesto, Hardwell & Calvin Harris shot into the Top 10 of this year’s Top 100 Clubs - making it North America’s favourite place to party. Lovers of the spectacular should also check out Light - where Cirque Du Soleil run the production whilst the likes of Alesso, Bauer and Thomas Gold provide the soundtrack.
