LAURYN HILL ADDED TO OUTLOOK FEST

Former Fugees star in hugely anticipated comeback show

Outlook, the festival in Croatia now in its seventh year, has just added Ms Lauryn Hill to an already ballooning bill. The former Fugees singer will play the special live amphitheatre opening concert with support from Submotion Orchestra, Fatima and Andrew Ashong.

Lauryn Hill joins a bulging line-up previously announced that includes US hip-hop heavyweight Busta Rhymes, reggae great Barrington Levy and Horace Andy, junglists Goldie, Marky, Friction and Andy C, Portuguese fusionists Buraka Som Sistema, garage dons MJ Cole and DJ EZ, Paul Woolford's Special Request and many more. Over 300 artists have already been announced for Outlook, with another 200 to follow.

Ms Lauryn Hill shot to fame as the only female member of The Fugees, who also included Wyclef Jean and Pras. 'Killing Me Softly' was their biggest hit, a level of success virtually replicated by Lauryn when she went solo and dropped 'The Miseducation Of Lauryn Hill' in 1998. With tracks such as 'Everything Is Everything' and 'Doo Wop (That Thing)', the album was universally acclaimed on release.

Now the mother of five children with Rohan Marley, son of reggae legend Bob, Lauryn was imprisoned late last year for three months for tax evasion, but is now free to tour and produce new music. Her Outlook festival appearance is sure to be one of the comebacks of the year.

Outlook takes place September 3rd — 7th at Fort Punta Christo, Pula on the Croatian coast. Venues vary from a dungeon, a courtyard, a moat, a boat, the beach or the festival's main stage at the harbour. Tickets £140, available here
