Martin Garrix earns certified Platinum release with ‘Scared to Be Lonely’

‘There For You’ goes Gold....

Martin Garrix continued to earn industry accolades as February 2018 came to a close. The United States’ RIAA certified the Garrix and Dua Lipa collaboration ‘Scared to Be Lonely’ as a Platinum release (1,000,000 units) and his Troye Sivan-featuring single ‘There For You’ as Gold (500,000 units).

Released on 27th January in 2017, ‘Scared to Be Lonely’ reached the mark in just over 13 months. ‘There For You’ was released four months later on 27th May.

The new Platinum accolade marks the third one-million mover for the DJ Mag Top 100 DJ. ‘Animals’ is certified 2x Platinum and ‘In The Name of Love’ featuring Bebe Rexha reached the milestone as well.    

‘Scared to Be Lonely’ also landed at the number six spot of Spotify’s most streamed songs of 2017.
