Scheduled for a slew of performances this July, DJmag nominated Best of British Breakthrough producer of the year for 2010, Maya Jane Coles, will debut at Circus Liverpool 30th July to a small intimate crowd of no more than 200 people.
Whilst Maya will be making appearances in front of big crowds at EXIT Festival, Berlin's Panorama Bar, London's Ministry Of Sound, Space Ibiza and Global Gathering Festival this coming July, the producer said she prefers performing in front of smaller crowds, making her performances at Circus truly special.
"Recently there have been much fewer opportunities for me to play really small parties, especially leading up to the Summer being festival season and all, so Circus is gonna be a little treat to play at,” said Maya. “From a DJ's perspective there's nothing better than feeling the energy from every individual of a crowd.”
Coles said feeling everyone’s energy in a bigger crowd is sometimes harder to do.
“When you play to massive audiences it's rare that 100 percent of the people are focused and locked into your music and sometimes you can be so removed from the audience. It's nice to be on the same level, you wanna be part of the party too!” she said. “I mean don't get me wrong, I love playing big gigs too. Seeing so many people at once dancing to your music gives me huge satisfaction, but nothing beats the feeling of when the room goes off in a killer intimate party.”
Tickets for Maya’s performance at Circus will be strictly limited to 200 people. For more information and tickets follow the links below.
