Miami nightclub closed after venue allows horse on the dancefloor

A Miami nightclub has been shut down after the venue allowed a woman to ride a horse on the dancefloor.

Authorities were alerted after footage of the woman riding the animal inside Miami Beach’s Mokai Lounge was uploaded to social media, with the video capturing the horse bucking the woman off and attempting to make a break for freedom. You can watch the video below.

"What kind of idiot would do something like to this to an animal?" said Miami Beach mayor Dan Gelber at a press conference earlier today.

Colleen O’Brien, Vice President of PETA, added, “We know horese are skittish animals who don’t belong among the pounding music, shouting crowds and flashing lights of a nightclub. After this horse panicked, fell and landed on his back, the nightclubs license was pulled...”

Mokai Lounge's license is now revoked and the owners could face criminal charges.
