MIKE SKINNER DOWN FOR ZOO PROJECT FEST

Sasha and Breach also announced with former Streets man

Zoo Project, the boutique UK festival that started life in Ibiza, has just announced some more acts. Red Bull Studios have been announced as weekend stage hosts, and Mike Skinner has been confirmed for a rare DJ set.

Sasha and Breach have also been confirmed for the festival, which takes place in Donington Park Forest in the Midlands region of England from 12th - 14th September.

They join Groove Armada, James Zabiela, Steve Lawler, Shy FX, Mr Scruff, Ben UFO b2b Midland, A Guy Called Gerald (live), Craig Richards, Nightmares On Wax, Special Request and lots more.

Stage hosts include Born Electric, Wax Da Jam, Channel Zoo, Secretsundaze, Janut, The Nest, Mute and DJ Mag.

Mike Skinner, of course, shot to prominence as The Streets in the early noughties with his 'Original Pirate Material' album that included tracks like 'Has It Come To This?' and 'Let's Push Things Forward' (below). A fresh UK rap voice, his street-real rhymes led to him making five albums before ending The Streets in 2011.

Since then, Skinner has thrown himself into production (he produced nine tracks for The Inbetweeners movie a couple of years ago), and has also been doing the odd bit of acting — he apparently had a cameo role in the fifth series of Doctor Who.

His rare DJ set at Zoo Project is sure to surprise a few people — as will some of the outrageous out fits that Zoo Project revellers will be rocking. Tickets here
