MOOGFEST EXPANDS TO FIVE DAYS

Exploring the Synthesis of Technology, Art and Music

Legendary synthesiser company Moog, founded by the late, great Bob Moog have announced an expansion of their annual Moogfest Festival.

The event - which is billed as 'exploring the Synthesis of Technology, Art and Music' will now run for five days - from April 23rd-27th in Asheville, North Carolina.

Since launching in 2004, Moogfest has attracted artists, engineers and musical innovators keen to share in a fitting legacy to Bob Moog.

The event is divided into Day and Night sectors. By Day you can expect New Media art installations, talks and presentations from 'futurist thinkers' in addition to workshops demonstrating how synths are built.

Night, is all about the party. Previous Moogfest performers have included Richie Hawtin, Massive Attack, James Murphy, Flying Lotus, Squarepusher and more. Although this year's line up is under wraps for now, you can expect a similar calibre of talent to be showcasing future sounds across ten venues in the city.

Public tickets don't go on sale until November 14th, however if you are an Asheville local, registered Moog instrument owner or are on the Moog mailing list, then you can purchase one before then for $99.
