Those Plump DJs, Andy Gardner and Lee Rous, have their latest comp — 'Dirty Weekend' — out this month on Grand Hotel Records. Their seventh mix album follows acclaimed sets on Global Underground, Fabric and Finger Lickin' over the past decade or so.
The Plumps have sourced tracks by Aussie electro dons Loops Of Fury, German electro don Marten Horger, Italian electro dons Blatta & Inesha, plus remixes by Stanton Warriors, Detboi, Peo De Pitte and NAPT for 'Dirty Weekend'. Revamps of tracks by household names Moby, Mark Ronson, Orbital and Stonebridge are also included for a fine snapshot of where the London duo are at with their DJ sets as another action-packed year draws to a close.
The Plumps were able to tour the US properly for the first time this year, and Lee Rous recently told DJ Mag that the guys have been road-testing new Plumps material for their fifth artist album, scheduled for release in the middle of next year.
