Movida on up!

Movida Corona play-off at Air Birmingham this Saturday with James Zabiela

And, so, the battle continues. 500 eliminatory rounds, 20 national finals, and contenders from 25 countries... the 11th instalment of Movida Corona’s DJ championship is well and truly underway. We’ve only reached the play off stage and the stakes are already reaching critical levels.

This Saturday (1st October), the competition is to stop off at Air Birmingham, where entrants will mix it out for the chance to take a step closer to the chance to DJ at Pacha Ibiza (list & bottle treatment included), £1000 cash, Pioneer CDJs and cases of Corona Extra.

On Saturday, in addition to the usual slew of talented DJ hopefuls battling it out for turntable supremacy, dancefloor icon James Zabiela and bass bad-boy Riva Star will hit the decks to show the party collective how it’s really done.

Future Movida Corona play-off dates will take place at Edinburgh’s Cabaret Voltaire, featuring Bang and Olufsen live (Alexis Hot Chip and Richard Grosvenor) on 3rd October, and at London’s Vibe Bar with DJ Spoony, Kele Le Roc and Norris ‘da boss’ Windross performing alongside another load of top-notch, up-and-coming DJs hoping to slingshot their career to the stratosphere on 7th October.
