While Ableton Live might be better know for its performance and production capabilities, it’s equally capable as a composition tool when writing music for film and TV. On our Music for Media course we show you exactly how to work with video in Live and to give you a sneak peek into the course, we’ve created a brand new video series.

Course tutor Kevin Kerrigan (BBC, Channel 4, Bravo, Discovery Channel) has 20 years experience working in music for picture and heads up our Music for Media course. Last week we looked at creating a tempo track, and part two is all about creating locators to help understand the temp track you’re working with.

Watch part two here and if you want to learn more about our Music for Media course click here. On it, you’ll learn about sound design, writing themes, analysing projects and getting work in the industry.
