New blood on Radio 1

Dave Spoon joins Friday night show

Radio 1's fresh DJ showcase In New DJs We Trust has welcomed some fresh blood to its roster. Popular electro house DJ Dave Spoon joins the gang, along with rising drum and bass heads Nerm and D-Code on the Friday morning show, which is beamed out between 2am – 4am, and features DJs who rotate one a week over the course of the month.

They'll be in the esteemed company of DJmag favourite Kissy Sell Out and hardcore maestro Kutski, and replace Mistress Da Funk and Professor Green on the show dedicated to emerging DJ talent. Dave Spoon is chuffed to be taking the reins, having always been a fan of the radio station.

"It's a huge honour to have landed a show on Radio 1! I've grown up listening to all their output for years like many others, so the extremely rare chance to now have input too is amazing! Cheers to the Beeb!" Spoon smiled. The new line up begins on 1st February and will rotate in this order Dave Spoon - Electro house, Kutski - Hard dance/Hardcore, Kissy Sell Out- Electro/Rave mash ups, Nerm & D-Code - Drum 'n' Bass.
