Vestax's bad-boy turntable - the PDX-3000 Mix (£429 from Vestax.com ) - has just landed in the UK's best DJ stores. It's built on the foundation of the PDX-2000 MKII and adds new features such as the S-shaped tone arm and variable torque. But it doesn't stop there.
The Midi controlled digital servo allows DJs to plug in a Midi keyboard and adjust the speed of the turntable by pressing higher and lower notes. This will get very similar results to the ground breaking Controller One deck, and further blurs the lines between DJs and musicians.
