The Nord Lead kickstarted the virtual analogue revolution way back in 1995 and has remained a firm favourite in studios worldwide. Clavia (clavia.se) have unveiled the prototype of the successor to the Nord Lead 3, and it's not the Nord Lead 4.
The new model will be known as the Nord Wave and boasts the power to load in user samples into the oscillators. The waveforms can be saved in the onboard memory to design unique custom sounds and patches.
It also features dazzling filters and high quality effects, including tube-drive and super smooth parameter morphing. The synth is bi-timbral with two patch slots.
Pricing hasn't yet been announced, but Nord Wave is expected to drop in September this year.
