Nina Kraviz shares extended footage of her Awakenings set: Watch

Extra footage of the Siberian DJ superstar's set has emerged...

Nina Kraviz has shared 20 minutes of live video footage from her set at this year’s Awakenings festival in the Netherlands.

Kraviz played the Area Y tent at the renowned Dutch festival on Saturday 30th June, alongside DJ Rush — who also played Kraviz’s OFFSónar party in Barcelona last month (June) — Rødhåd and Ben Klock.

The 20-minute video, which is on Awakenings’ official YouTube channel, sees the Siberian DJ spin an unreleased track from Russian techno duo PTU, her own 'Alice Was Here' remix of Special Request’s ‘Curtain Twitcher’, ‘Black Alienation’ by deceased Italian producer Zenith and ‘Pitch-hiker’ by Pilldriver, aka hardcore legend Marc Acardipane.

The last song also appears on ‘Don't Mess With Cupid Cause Cupid Ain't Stupid’, the new compilation released to mark the 20th release on Kraviz’ трип label, alongside the rare Apex Twin tune, ’15 c7’, originally released on Universal Indicator’s 1993 album ‘Red’.

Awakenings’ official YouTube channel also includes full live sets from Carl Cox, Amelie Lens, Adam Beyer, Joseph Capriati, DJ Rush, Rødhåd and Joris Voorn and Kölsch from the 2018 festival, as well as interviews with artists including KiNk, Eats Everything and Bart Skils.

In an interview with The Guardian earlier this week, Kraviz spoke about how she felt techno was “underestimated” as a genre.
