If you haven’t heard the Solomun mix of Noir and Haze’s ‘Around’ then you haven’t really been getting out enough have you eh? A sexy vocal slo-mo jam that brings the funk (without the slightest whiff of funky house) and revolves around the kick of karma, it’s an undeniable smash, caned at DC10 and snapped up by Defected for whom Danish born Noir is also mixing one of the CDs on their Miami 2012 compilation.
Not one to rest of his laurels, Noir’s follow up ‘Found Out’ - from his forthcoming album - features producer/vocalist Richard Davis and is potentially even better, a gothic house cut that could be Depeche Mode were it not so clearly also a modern day club killer (and in fact a Killer in the February issue of DJ Mag).
You can catch a Noir Music showcase on Saturday 4th February at a special Potty Mouth warehouse party held in a new warehouse space in London's East End. To whet your appetite we have an exclusive Noir DJ mix.
Supporting him are Crosstown Rebels LA trio Droog, who recently mixed the superb ‘Rebel Rave 2’, playing back to back with the Cocoon approved Inxec, and Catz ‘N Dogz bringing their live show which takes in everything from their Pets and Dirtybird releases to their cheeky Clap II Dogz re-edits (which include an amazing deep, dubby version of ‘RIP Groove) with Soul Clap.
