NORTHERN LIGHTS ILLUMINATES THE NORTH-EAST

Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike headline Newcastle electronic music fest

It's gonna be 'taps aff in Times Square' time in Newcastle, England on Bank Holiday Monday, May 5th, when Northern Lights stages its inaugural event. Three clubbing brands — Elektriqa, Goodgreef and Module — are coming together to stage what they're billing as “the north-east's first ever electronic music festival”.

Belgian brothers Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike headline the 7500-capacity event, bringing their diverse segued selection of big room bangers to Times Square in the city centre. Get a flava of their madness here:

DV & LM are ably assisted by Nervo, the Aussie twin sisters who have made such a strong mark in EDM in recent times.

Also joining them on the main stage will be Tommy Trash, fast-rising electro-house don also originally from Australia.

The Goodgreef Arena, meanwhile, focuses on trance, with John O'Callaghan heading up the line-up. He's joined by Lange, Menno De Jong, Jordan Suckley and Sneijder, with more to be confirmed.

The outdoor terrace is hosted by Module — for all things house and tech. Josh Butler headlines this stage, with support from Marc Roberts from Snowbombing and more.

Doors open at 1pm, with the site closing at 11pm. Tickets are available here
