NOT TOO SHABBY...

Pacha is still looking tip-top — and that's just the venue. The line-ups are also sharp...

Shifting creative direction with Stephen Glenn at the helm, Pacha Ibiza celebrated a whopping 40 years on planet Earth last summer, and with it started a series of new chapters. Some of these will be re-opened this year, whereas others have been closed, plus there's one or two fresh ones entirely.

Solomun +1 returns to every Sunday (from 25th May), whereas Guy Gerber's Wisdom of the Glove is nowhere to be seen. F*** ME I'M FAMOUS with David Guetta (Thursdays from 29th May), John Digweed's INSANE (Fridays from 23rd May), retro hippy fest FLOWER POWER (Tuesday) and PURE PACHA featuring the likes of Bob Sinclar and Martin Solveig (Saturdays from 24th May) also return.

Most newsworthy is the introduction of Steve Aoki's first-ever Ibiza residency, AOKI'S PLAY HOUSE, which will take place on Wednesdays from 28th May (see overleaf), while PACHA ROCKS HOUSE is another new entry, a project from Andy McKay and wife Dawn Hindle of Manumission — started as a private party at hotel Pikes in 2011 — dubbed '20 parties to bring Monday nights back to life'.

Featuring Manumission's Griff and Antz as residents, Derrick Carter, Kenny Dope, Kevin Saunderson, DJ Pierre, Shadow Child, Claptone, Jesse Rose, plus the likes of Basement Jaxx, 2manyDJs and Groove Armada, among others, have been booked to rock Pacha's main room, named Freddie's after the private discos of the original parties.
