PAUL OAKENFOLD TO PLAY ISLE OF DREAMS

Ambitious festival to take place in three different countries

Trance guru and two-time winner of the DJ Mag Top 100 DJs poll, Paul Oakenfold, is set to play the brand new three-part dance festival Isle Of Dreams.

Taking place in August, the festival is split over three countries. Turkey (5th – 7th) will see “the ultimate electronic beach festival”; you can party by the Sea of Galilee in Israel from 7th – 9th August, and finally experience the biggest dance event Switzerland has ever seen (8th – 10th).

Representing the spirit of Ibiza (in more than just the name), Isle Of Dreams have organised an incredible line-up, which will follow the festival as it moves location. Joining Oakenfold is dance legend Pete Tong, Welsh wonder Sasha, Paul van Dyk, Avicii, Nervo, Calvin Harris, Fedde Le Grand, Sebastian Ingrosso, Alesso, Jamie Jones — and that's only in the first wave!

One of the godfathers of electronic dance music, Paul Oakenfold is one of those who first brought the Ibiza sound and acid house to the UK. With 30 years DJing experience under his belt, Oakenfold has influenced most forms of modern dance music, with trance being his speciality.

The Isle Of Dreams project is a collaborative effort by IBZ Entertainment heads Danny Whittle and Mark Netto, and legendary music promoter Marcel Avram. Whittle explained the concept behind Isle Of Dreams:

“The whole idea for Isle Of Dreams was to present a festival that really spans all the genres of electronic music, from the bigger sounds on the main stage to the more underground cutting-edge sounds of the other arenas” Danny said. “We aim to top this off with not only spectacular locations but also incredible production values.”
