Pioneer DJ launch new Serato controller: Watch

Pioneer DJ have launched a new Serato DJ Pro controller called the DDJ-SX3. The four-channel unit is an update to the SX2, taking advantage of the new features in Serato DJ Pro as well as adding an extra mic input – now three – with new mic FX, dual USB ports for simple switchovers, the addition of Pioneer DJ's Sound Color FX per channel, reduced latency jog wheels and the unit can also be used as a standalone DJ mixer with up to four channels. Multi-coloured performance pads and a display designed around the new Serato are also included.

It's a controller based around back-to-backs and group perforamnce as much as DJing, with their promo video showing Mr Woodnote and Mr Switch take the device into the live performance realm. Pioneer DJ have been busy recently, launching a controller collaboration with Jazzy Jeff. You might want to hold off investing though, as NI promise new Traktor software and hardware is on the way
