PIONEER'S RMX-500 FX UNIT

Add FX to the mix with the all new Pioneer RMX-500

Pioneer have also waited until NAMM to announce the release of yet another new product, the Remix- Station 500 (RMX-500) aimed at DJs who prefer to stick to conventional set ups, CDJs etc to deliver their sets but are looking for a way to add some extra flare and pazazz to their sets.

The RMX-500 is a portable powerhouse of effects putting a multitude of controls at DJs fingertips. The RMX-500 looks similar to the RMX-1000 but this time there are two circular control sections with one dedicated to Rhythm FX and the other for Scene FX with a smaller section in the centre of the controller dedicated to Release FX duties. The RMX-500 remix station also has “Pressure Controller” knobs which are an industry first and promise to put even more control into DJs hands. The RMX-500 can also work as a USB controller in conjunction with the included VST/AU/RTAS plug-ins for use in DAWs like Logic, Cubase or Ableton.

As the promotional platter states “Pioneer DJ is giving DJs and producers the most easy-to-use multi-effects unit yet. The lightweight effector takes some of the best features from the top-flight RMX-1000, but gains a more simplified layout, on-board customisation, and ingenious one-handed control of multiple parameters”

Looks like the new RMX-500 will be giving DJs a whole new level of opportunities when it comes to performance oriented sets.
