We wonder if The Plump DJs thought about how long their career would last when they took inspiration for their name from a porn mag featuring full-bodied (and probably just full) ladies? Having kept their phat through breakbeat's lean years, they're still an international draw with label Grand Hotel helping to break similarly large and loud acts.
Their love of the '80s might not be as well known amongst fans, but they once did us a podcast, featuring the likes of Michael Jackson and Prince, that Soundcloud refused to upload for copyright reasons – our loss.
