Egyptian uplifting trance favourites Aly & Fila had a particularly impressive 2014, in no small part due to some of their activities around their Future Sound of Egypt brand, which they take out to the world via their radio show, record label, plus a cross-continent celebration that is simulcast live to a huge audience, in the vein of Armin’s A State Of Trance tour.

“We’re very, very happy how FSOE 350 went this summer,” they say of the celebrations of the 350th episode of their radio show, broadcast from clubs in Egypt, the US, UK, Poland, Argentina, Colombia and El Salvador. “We hosted five events last year, and we felt we wanted to step it up a level and improve the overall concept as a whole. We felt we achieved that. All the DJs playing with us were very supportive, and the events went well with over 40,000 clubbers attending.”

The pair made their name with their unique take on the classic euphoria of trance, and they remain in 2014 massive ambassadors for the global trance scene. “We have always stuck true to our sound, the uplifting, melodic trance style. It's what we love and what we believe in, we love what we do. And we can see this everywhere we play; the sound really works well with the crowds. Dance music evolves, genres come and go, but trance has always been there.”
