One of this year’s new entries is American John Borger, aka Borgeous. Despite only emerging in 2012 he’s already had a number of massive hits including ‘Tsunami’ (a UK No.1) and ‘Stampede’ last year, which were immediately caned on the club and festival circuit by the likes of Pete Tong.
This year he has kept up the pressure, with the big room house antics of ‘Invincible’, ‘Celebration’ and ‘Wildfire’ all storming the Beatport charts.
“I'm pretty diverse in everything I do, as everyone can see now,” explains the producer. “I like to play a lot of things in my sets, it just depends on the show and where it is and how I'm feeling at the time.”
This year those shows have taken in headline gigs at Pacha in New York, clubs in Canada, India and Finland and festivals just about everywhere. Currently signed to Spinnin' Records but working on launching his own label, Borgeous has collabs with Shaun Frank & Delaney Jane and Lights all in the pipeline.
“My year has been so great,” he beams. “My fans keep me going and I have so much more new music coming out in 2015. I put out 10 songs so far this year and have no plans on stopping!”
