Laidback Luke is one of the busiest chaps in all of dance music. As well as keeping up a relentless tour schedule like most Top 100 entrants, he also runs his own superhero-themed Super You &Me events, hosts tents at Tomorrowland and Creamfields under the same banner and is also a father and a kung fu master.
“A big moment for me this year was when I had to cancel my Ultra Miami show for the birth of my daughter, my third child,” beams the DJ and producer who accepts that EDM is a young man’s game. But, because he doesn’t drink, Luke feels he has all the energy he needs to connect with the thousands-strong audiences to which he plays every weekend.
Stating that EDM began to bore him and that he feels relieved to be focusing on “future house” once more, Luke is pumped to be releasing some solo tracks as well as collabs with Project 46, Uberjakd, Chocolate Puma and Tujamo in the coming months.
