“'When Love Takes Over’ for David Guetta will always be an iconic milestone in our lives,” says Liv, one half of twin-sister DJ/production/songwriting duo Nervo. “It’s one of those songs we wrote that we’re really proud of because it won a Grammy and changed our lives.”
That song, with Kelly Rowland on vocals, came out in 2009. The Australia-born former models started out their career in music working behind the scenes, as songwriters. These days, they’re better known for their own, big room house productions. And DJing, of course. “This year we played at Sensation White, Summerburst, Tomorrowland, Ultra and Spring Awakening,” says Miriam.
“Our residencies at Hakkasan in Las Vegas and Ushuaia in Ibiza were also major highlights.”
Apart from the gigs, the pair have been in the studio, working on their new album.“We’re always writing but our album is finally done,” says Liv. “We’re excited to start releasing tunes from that next year.”
