A regular in the Top 100 for several years, Norweigan trance talent Orjan Nilsen has gradually evolved to work more of a main stage EDM presence into his sound. It was present on his album from last year ‘No Saint Out of Me', though he says it’s evolved even further since then.
“Both on the road and in the studio I think my sound has matured a lot. If anything it has been liberating, finally feeling like I can be myself in a studio setting, without having to deal with what people expect of me. I'm in this to have a blast, and people are welcome to join if they like!”
Career highlights since he last made an appearance in the Top 100 poll include appearing (again) on Armin van Buuren’s ‘A State Of Trance’ compilation, producing a track with Cosmic Gate, plus a touring schedule that’s seen him, in his own words “playing almost every single major festival all across the world”.
Above all else though, was the launch of his own label.
“The support of the releases from In My Opinion has been simply overwhelming, from almost every branch within EDM. I don’t want to define my label really, as I sign whatever I think is good (in my opinion, excuse the pun). We’re just very grateful for all the artists we’ve picked up.”
