Posthumous Marcus Intalex EP coming on SUNANDBASS Recordings

Three unreleased tracks are confirmed for April from the late UK drum & bass legend...

A posthumous Marcus Intalex EP has been confirmed for release on SUNANDBASS Recordings.

The self-titled EP, out 20th April, will feature three tracks that were confirmed for release on the label before Marcus Intalex, born Marcus Kaye, died in May last year; his family has approved the release of the posthumous project.

Since his death, a number of artists have paid homage to the UK drum & bass legend. DRS and LSB released their track ‘Angels Fall’ in tribute to Marcus Intalex a few days after his death. Later that year, UK techno producer Alan Fitzpatrick released a posthumous remix of his single, ‘Magnetic Dog’, from Trevino, Kaye’s house and techno alias.

No clips from the forthcoming EP are officially available yet, but English drum & bass duo Matrix & Futurebound recently played one of the posthumous Marcus Intalex tracks, ‘Deep Stepper’, in their mix for the Drum & Bass Show with René LaVice on BBC Radio 1. The track clocks in at 1 hour and 43 minutes.

In the meantime, you can stream a collection of Marcus Intalex sets recorded at or for the SUNANDBASS festival since 2006 below.
