The dance music stalwarts get ‘Gangsta’
Who said dance music can’t be thuggish?
EDM lynchpin, Benny Benassi and staple producer, MOGUAI hook up to create their own version of the goon squad. Only these beat bandits do their racketeering on the decks and cause bedlam on the dancefloor rather than at banks or jewelers.
Their new collaborative track, ‘Gangsta’ (set for release via Ultra, September 19) robs listeners of not cash and diamonds, but rather, breath and pulse rates. It’s an intense anthem that takes no prisoners and, specifically in this single, breaks in pace. The ‘Gangsta’ bassline drives without relenting. Its roiling thunder at a heart-stopping speed until everyone submits in its path of mass destruction.
