Following the success of her April single “Levity,” HELENA looks to lengthen her lease on summer with “Raven,” which premieres today exclusively on DJ Mag.
The Australian producer has another festival weapon on her hands. “Raven” is an electro-infused example of HELENA’s festival-oriented prowess, with gut-levitating, pressurizing builds and siren-like synths that rip through the air with jagged ferocity. It is a bit of a throwback to the golden days of rave, from the classic rave-y synths to the chopped samples of a roaring crowd; but its enveloping big-room energy can still captivate the audiences of today.
"My aim behind ‘Raven’ was to make a track that delivered enough power to rock a festival to its core,” HELENA told DJ Mag. “The name comes from the rave synths and sirens that drive the track throughout. ‘Raven’ is a big electro monster that I am excited to unleash onto the world!"
In short? “Let’s Go Raven.”
Those who have been able to catch HELENA during her globetrotting summer tour have likely been able to test out its effectiveness on the dancefloor. In the coming days, she will perform a series of dates in Europe before returning stateside for her Vegas residency at Drai’s Nightclub.
Listen to “Raven” below ahead of its release Friday, August 22, on Ultra Music.
