Premiere: Hunter Lombard ‘Raeh (Kim Ann Foxman Remix)’

Incomparable NYC DJ/Producer Kim Ann Foxman gives Hunter Lombard’s ‘Raeh’ a percussive acid rework on Brooklyn’s Jack Dept. label...

NYC DJ/producer Hunter Lombard FKA Peal will release her debut EP tomorrow 4th April on Brooklyn’s Jack Dept label. The ‘Eris’ EP features three fierce and hypnotic original cuts, fusing techno, ambient and electro elements with intoxicating results.

The EP’s standout track, ‘Raeh’, is a deep, propulsive acid cut embellished with textured synths and a clattering rhythm. The release is closed then with two remixes of the track from fellow New Yorker, tastemaking DJ, artist and designer, and former Hercules & Love Affair member, Kim Ann Foxman. Each rework channels the track’s individual facets, with the ambient version honing in marvellously on the melodies and atmospheres while the full throttle remix – premiering below – brings the percussion, acid lead and bass drive to the fore.

Lombard’s ‘Eris’ EP follows the appearance of her track ‘Parallels’ on the Power Puerto Rico Compilation in October 2017, all of the funds from which went to The Hurricane Maria Community Relief & Recovery Fund.

Lombard will launch ‘Eris’ on Friday 6th April in Brooklyn’s Bossa Nova Civic Club with support coming from Joey Quinones, Jasmine Infiniti & John Barera.

Meanwhile, Kim Ann Foxman has been typically busy. She will be joining the likes of Objekt, Laurent Garnier, Richie Hawtin and Motor City Drum Ensemble at the mighty Sónar Barcelona in June. In October 2017, she joined Lena Willikens and Avalon Emerson in remixing the work of Greek avant-garde musician Lena Platanos.
