Premiere: Melé ‘Moog Beat’

Melé makes his Unknown to the Unknown debut with the ‘Tribal Trax’ EP - Lead track ‘Moog Beat’ is a frenzy

Merseyside’s chief merchant of percussive mayhem, Melé, will make his ‘Unknown to the Unknown’ debut this Friday 9th March with his ‘Tribal Trax’ EP.

With previous releases on labels like Edible, Defected, Snatch! and Local Action, Melé’s penchant for incorporating Brazilian and west African rhythms into his frenetic house productions has become something unmistakable. His releases over the past few years have become something of a ubiquitous presence in sets by the likes of Eats Everything, The Black Madonna, Patrick Topping and others. Not only that but, as a promoter, Melé’s Club Bad parties in Liverpool have themselves become quite the institution with previous guests including Jasper James, DJ Haus, DJ Boring and Big Miz to name a few.

‘Tribal Trax’, his first EP to be released on DJ Haus’ label, is an explosive five-track selection featuring three original cuts and remixes from Bontan and DJ Boring. ‘Moog Beat’ - premiering below – is a ferocious and frenzied cut of rattling drums, squelchy bass synths and clamorous dynamics shifts.

‘Tribal Trax’ is out this Friday and you can pre-order it it here.
