Octo Octa drops 'By Yourself (Clap Mix)', a slice of smooth, groovy house for London label Femme Culture this week.
The release comes as part of a 12-track compilation produced in partnership with the UN Women's HeForShe Arts Week, celebrating gender equality and women empowerment, with all proceeds going to the UN's charity to be dedicated to accelerating progress on meeting women’s needs worldwide.
Female, female-identifying and male artists from all over the world have taken part, including Anastasia Kristensen, Elkka, Blasé Vanguard and many more.
Octo Octa impressed majorly last year with her stunning album 'Where Are We Going’, and her new track shows no drop in quality.
Airy and upbeat, yet with a chunky groove, watch out for the sneaky late-arriving breakbeat and kick combo that really amps up the pressure.
Check out the track below and head here to grab a copy from 15th March.
We caught up with Octo Octa last year to talk about her album and embracing her identity as a transgender woman, read the full interview here.
