Premiere: Ron Basejam ‘After The Sun’

James Baron’s free-flying funk and future disco alias Ron Basejam serves up another spicy five-track EP on Futureboogie Recordings – ‘After The Sun’ is a boisterous party anthem, all yelping vocals and raucous drums...

The work of Ron Basejam aka James Baron has been leaving dancers in jubilant twists for over two decades now.

As co-founder of Nottingham live disco and electronic outfit Crazy P and in his solo output, the DJ/producer's focus has been consistently geared toward the playful, boisterous and the loose. On his new five-track EP, ‘After The Rain’, the intention remains the same, and the results are divine. On the EP’s closing track ‘After The Sun’ – premiering below – we find a jubilant rhythm and infectious bass, all propping up the yelping vocal samples that ring in your head long into the song’s afterglow. Released via Bristol's Futureboogie Recordings, this is not one to be slept on.

A standout track on an EP made entirely of highlights, you can listen to ‘After The Sun’ below and pre-order the EP here.
