Premiere: Throwing Snow ‘Myriad’

Ever consistent London-based producer Throwing Snow will release his new EP on Fabric’s Houndstooth label this Friday 18th May.

‘Myriad / Minotaurs’ is the third release on Houndstooth from the prolific producer this year, following the brutal bass driven ‘Simmer / Subtitles’ and ‘Trébucher / Tantrum’.

The two-track EP finds the producer – real name Ross Tones – venturing into more techno-leaning territory while simultaneously channelling the intense melodies that defined his superb 2017 LP 'Embers'. ‘Minotaurs’ lurches forward with stilted rhythm before spectral, Boards Of Canada reminiscent synth swells draw it to its close.

‘Myriad’ – premiering below – is a euphoric dancefloor opus designed for peak-time in a dark room, its fluttering, muted synth runs bouncing on its steady pulse, building to a thunderous close.

You can pre-order ‘Myriad / Minotaurs’ here. The fourth and final Throwing Snow EP in this particular Houndstooth series will be dropping in the coming months.

Throwing Snow will be playing London's Archspace on 26th May. Tickets can be purchased here.
