Premiere: Yotto 'Second Life'

Out today on Joris Voorn's Green imprint...

Yotto — aka Otto Yliperttula — kicks off March with a slice of smooth, uplifting electronica titled 'Second Life' from his new two-tracker for Joris Voorn's Green label.

The Finnish producer is already making 2018 his year, with a BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix landing back in January and regular support from tastemakers, Annie Mac and Pete Tong.

Following on from an outing on Anjunadeep, his new 'Chemicals' / 'Second Life' release marks another step on his climb to the top.

Our personal favourite, 'Second Life' is a slow, proggy affair in the vein of Denis Sulta and George FitzGerald, building up through heady, uplifting synths and pads to a noisy crescendo — perfect for losing yourself amongst the lasers!

"Second Life took me a long time," Otto tells DJ Mag. "I originally made it almost a year ago trying out a new synth I had just aquired. I played it a few times and went back to the studio, added some strings and it ended up turning into a very emotional piece of music underpinned by a clubby kick drum."

Plus, catch Yotto playing alongside The Black Madonna, Claptone, Ellen Allien, Alan Walker and more at DJ Mag's annual Miami Pool Party at the Surfcomber on Wednesday 21st March. Grab your ticket here.
