Return of the Mac

Annie Mac and friends set off on tour...

THE unstoppable rise of Radio 1's diminutive Irish DJ lass continues apace: Annie Mac is set to go on a huge tour of the UK, with a scalding-hot list of guests from all across the dance music spectrum.

Friday 19th October sees Miss Mac kick off the 'Annie Mac Presents' tour, with a date at Brighton's Concorde 2 for Stompaphunk. She'll be joined by Mancunian electro hotheads The Whip and ghetto house supremo, Hervé.

On subsequent dates, DJs and artists like Sinden, Switch, Scratch Perverts, Simian Mobile Disco and Erol Alkan will all be rocking up with Annie to tear down the place. Epic in scope, her tour touches down all over the UK with dates in Glasgow (20th October), Leeds (27th October), Liverpool (2nd November), Belfast (3rd November), Newcastle (9th November), Cardiff (10th November), and many more cities until her final date in Leicester on 20th December.

"This is the third year of the tour and it's got bigger and better in terms of the line-up. I'm really excited!" smiled Mac.

The new tour brings together an eclectic range of some of her favourite artists to perform alongside her, with a focus on putting both established heads and new DJs in the spotlight.

"The whole point of this tour is to go on the road with people I really respect and admire musically. There's some really exciting talent on there," Mac asserted.

Possibly the most mammoth date on the tour will see her playing Chibuku at Nation, Liverpool, on 2nd November, alongside 2ManyDJs, Green Velvet, Goldie, Shy FX, Late of the Pier (live), Buraka Som Sistema (DJ set), Justin Martin, Mehdi, A Trak, Friction, Matrix and Futurebound.
