Paxahau Promotions Group has announced world-renowned microhouse and minimal techno DJ/producer, Ricardo Villalobos, as the ‘Secret Artist’ set to perform at the Movement Electronic Music Festival in Detroit.
The official set list was released on the 12th May, containing one eye-catching slot ‘Secret Artist’. The set schedule created a lot of buzz online and many speculated about who would be the ‘Secret Artist’. Festival organizers decided to announce Villalobos’ performance via Facebook to inform inquiring minds throughout the social media spaces.
The post read, “Ricardo Villalobos is the ‘Secret Artist.’ He WILL be in Detroit to perform at MOVEMENT May 29th and at the Voyage Royale: I’m on a Boat 3 afterparty.”
Villalobos’ last performance in Detroit was in 2002 at Paxahau Electronic Music Festival, a four-day party that took place at the former Panacea Nightclub in downtown Detroit.
The Movement Electronic Music Festival will take place in an outdoor plaza located along the Detroit River on 28th May - 30th May. For three days there will be non-stop performances across five different stages from more than a 100 artists. Following the performances there will be a full roster of epic after parties sure to keep the celebration going. Last year’s festival drew in nearly 100,000 people.
