RICHIE HAWTIN'S ENTER.SAKE GOES GLOBAL

M_nus man rolls out his favourite drink to the US

Richie Hawtin has announced that his boutique Japanese Sake collection ENTER.Sake is set to launch in the US and Europe, starting with an exclusive launch at New York's famous TAO Downtown restaurant.

Beginning life in 2012 as a way for Hawtin to share his passion for Japanese culture, the ENTER.Sake collection has until now only been available at his ENTER parties at Space, Ibiza.

Hawtin released this statement, expressing his excitement about the brand expansion: “This is a proud moment for me as our ENTER.Sake project evolves with our first project outside of Ibiza with the introduction of the ENTER.Matsumoto Sake selection at the new TAO Downtown restaurant in New York,” he said. “Sake has been an integral part of the success of the ENTER.Ibiza events and with Jason Strauss and Naoh Tepperberg’s similar love of Japanese food, sake & electronic music, this partnership makes perfect sense.

“The new TAO restaurant is the right place for ENTER.Sake's first steps into the North America market and helps continue our combined commitment to bring the best quality Japanese Sake to a wider audience,” Hawtin continued. “With ENTER.Matsumoto we bring the heritage of the Matsumoto brewery and culture of Kyoto one step closer to the rest of the world. A delicious and exciting new chapter to the developing ENTER.Sake story.”

Two variations of Hawtin's Sake will be launched at the venue; ENTER.Black is said to be “Balanced, lifted and zippy. Medium dry”, whilst ENTER.Gold is described as “Edgy, refined, complex.” So if you're a huge Sake fan, or you've never touched the stuff, keep your eyes peeled for this unique venture from a techno legend. Oh, and we'll have a glass too, cheers!
