RIVA STARR’S REMIX HEAVEN

Italian house man’s album remixed by top names

Riva Starr, the quirky Italian house music producer who’s just had a worldwide smash hit with Fatboy Slim, ‘Eat Sleep Rave Repeat’, is releasing a remix album on his own Snatch Recordings later this month.

Riva, real name Stefano Miele, has recruited some top names to remix tracks from his last album, ‘Club In Hand’. German stalwart Timo Maas, Brazilian electro act MixHell, Italian producer Santos and Made To Play man Jesse Rose are just a few of the names who have remixed tracks from ‘Club In Hand’.

Others who have taken the parts of album tracks and reinterpreted them in their own way include H.O.S.H, In Flagranti, Uner, Genghis Clan, Alexkid, Technasia, Luca Bacchetti, Yousef, ZDS and Addison Groove. Riva has also remixed a few of the tracks himself.

Original guests on the Riva Starr album included Roots Manuva, CeCe Rogers, Speech Debelle, Horace Andy and Rssll.

When DJ Mag bumped into London-based Riva in the supermarket earlier this week, he also revealed that he’s been making some breakbeat-influenced tracks recently. Stefano (Riva) first shot to prominence in dance music making breakbeat under the name Madox.

‘Club In Hand (Remixed)’ is out February 10th on Snatch. More info here
