Rock To The Rhythm!

Rock Ness Festival's dance music focus

Scotland's stunning boutique festival Rock Ness welcomes its most dance focused line up yet this summer, bringing together an epic trio of electronic music purveyors.

The event, which takes place on the stunning shores of Loch Ness, has invited Glasgow-based Soma Records to kick off this weekend of electronic brilliance with an international line-up including Funk D'Void, the Black Dog, Mark Henning, Octogen, Mr Copy, Harvey McKay and Decimal. Ed Banger Records, the Parisian label-du-jour follows with DJ sets from DJ Mehdi, DJ Feadz and Crazy Baldhead. Sub Club, another legendary Scottish institution, will bring this exceptional weekend to an appropriately frenzied close on Sunday with a soundtrack including Om Monk, Ben, Kinky, Afro feat Mafro, Numbers feat Jackmaster, Cotton Cake and a live set from Sensu before the mighty Optimo and Subculture ft Harri Domenic and Teleford.

As if this stellar lineup wasn't enough, Rock Ness has made the recent announcement that The Flaming Lips will headline the Friday Show along with other top acts including Placebo, Super Furry Animals, Erol Alkan, David Guetta, Orbital, Pete Tong, Zane Lowe and Rob Da Bank.
