Released this week (30th June) on his own Octopus label, Sian’s album ‘Before Silence’ dispenses with traditional notions of a long-player or mix album.
Instead the Dublin-based DJ and producer, who also worked on the project in Barcelona, ripped his own newest tracks into 1013 parts, reassembling them with the help of remixers including Ramon Tapia, Gui Boratto, Basic Soul Unit and Joel Mull.
The result is a masterful 70 minute ride through dubby house and techno and we have the free track ‘Moorish Idol’ (presumably Simon Cowell’s new show) to give away…
