Skream and Dennis Ferrer to play Brighton's new laser cage party

The second edition of Boxed takes place at The Arch this weekend...

Skream and Dennis Ferrer are set to play a new party at The Arch in Brighton which puts them inside a cage of lasers right in the middle of the dancefloor.

Named Boxed, the event launched last month with tech-house sensation Latmun holding court inside the lights.

According to The Arch, the idea to move the DJ booth to the middle of the dancefloor came after hosting a Fatboy Slim Boiler Room party where dancers surrounded the DJ.

Now Skream and Dennis Ferrer will combine under their new Local Heroes alias (the official UK premiere of the moniker) to shake The Arch on Satuday 19th May.

Lips are tightly sealed about who else is lined up for the event later in the year, although DJ and filmstar Idris Elba will play alongside a special guest on Friday 8th June.

Check out footage of Latmun and the lasers in action at the bottom of the page.

Having a centralised booth seems to be all the rage in 2018 with brand new not-for-profit venue The Cause building its concrete cage situated there

The redesign of Ibiza institution Pacha also surrounds the DJ with dancers, check out these insanely amazing photos of the club's new look.
