Skrillex drops surprise new From First to Last track, 'Surrender': Listen

Skrilly's going back to his emo roots again...

Skrillex has shared a long-awaited new track with his former emo band, From First To Last.

The U.S. EDM producer has finally released the new single ‘Surrender’ along with his old band after teasing it a few weeks ago – and it’s free to download.

The new track features the man himself – real name Sonny Moore – as he returns to the outfit to take up his former role as lead vocalist. Moore was a member of From First To Last between the years of 2004 and 2007 before leaving to focus on his solo career.

From First To Last continued without Moore, went under the radar until fans got pretty excited at a teaser in Skrillex’s Instagram story last month which followed the band’s reunion show in Los Angeles in February 2017.

The group itself has been pretty low key of late, but their reunion with Moore as frontman looks like it’s setting them up for a host of new music.

Skrillex himself has had a busy few years away from the band. He put out a plethora of his own music last year, including Chicken Soup, Would You Ever and a remix of Kendrick Lamar’s HUMBLE.

There’s more to come from his solo project too - Los Angeles-based producer Yultron tweeted about his work in progress last Friday (20th July) saying, “the new music is bout to change the game again, like he always does”.

And if that’s not enough, he’s reportedly been working on Rihanna’s forthcoming dancehall album.
