From 15 – 17 June 2006, thousands of clubbers and dance music fans will be able to watch audiovisual showcases and DJ sets, catch electronic music bands and live sets, and have one hell of a good knee's up.
Originally set up in 1997, Sónar has since become one of Europe's most important dance music events.
This year, Sónar will celebrate the history of electronic music through its 'Black Music' theme, with dub reggae, soul, jazz, funk, hip hop, techno, and jungle pioneers booked to appear at the event.
Its 'Sound Of Japan' theme focuses on cutting-edge electronic music, with label showcases, multimedia shows, and Japanese artists such as Nobukazu Takemura, Insen, and Yanagisawa Marina.
A three day pass to Sónar costs 130€, but there are also day and night passes available at a reduced price.
