Sony unleash new music site

Sony's laptop range, the Vaio, are unleashing a cool new music website.

Offering exclusive material, blogs and video from a clutch of hip DJs and artists, the site will act as an online community/networking site.

The artists and DJs include renowned Carnival king Norman Jay, the undisputed funk heavyweight whose original blends of house, disco, hip-hop, funk and reggae drive crowds wild wherever he plays; Plan B, the acclaimed UK rapper whose album focused on the dark underbelly of London life to a backdrop of acoustic guitar and raw beats; and new !K7 band Stateless, who featured on DJ Shadow's new album, and who blend electronica, trip-hop and rock into a unique fusion that is all their own.

All the artists involved have made use of the Sony Vaio's extensive music programs, Acidpro, Soundforge and Cinescore to create exclusive material, which will be previewed to the press in May.

The Vaio Nation site is up now, and will be updated weekly. Log on to the site to find out more: www.vaionation.com
