Steve Aoki is getting an official waxwork at Madame Tussauds

The Las Vegas branch of the museum will house the new wax figure...

Steve Aoki is set to be immortalised in wax next month, when the famous EDM DJ/producer’s likeness is added to Madame Tussauds’ Las Vegas museum.

“This whole process has been super exciting so far, Madame Tussauds and I are both fun, outlandish, and all about delivering an unforgettable experience,” Aoki said.

“I can’t wait to see fans get behind the decks and have some fun with my first ever wax figure.”

He’s not the first DJ to have nabbed a waxwork in recent years with Tiësto, Hardwell and Afrojack all having figurines appear in the museum’s Amsterdam outlet.

Aoki fans also have the chance to nab tickets to the unveiling of his Vegas waxwork on Tuesday 6th March which will also feature an exclusive 20-minute set from the man himself. More information can be found via Aoki’s Facebook page and the contest closes on 28th February.

Steve Aoki recently met up with DJ Mag’s global editor Carl Loben to talk his new album, his cake-throwing antics and the future of EDM. Watch the interview in full below.
