Salt 'N' Pepper join the bill

Words: Bianca Mitchell

The latest addition to the already ridonkulous South West Four line-up are none other than hip-hop legends Salt ‘N’ Pepper. The girls take to the Kiss Main Stage as part of the Sunday leg of SW4 and will be their first London performace in over fifteen years.

The trio consisting of Cheryl Williams (‘Salt’) Sandra Denton (‘Pepa’) and Deidra ‘Dee Dee’ Roper (DJ ‘Spinderalla’) hit the UK charts in 1986 with the massive unforgettable single ‘Push It’. Expect to hear that plus all the other good old classics like ‘Shake Your Thang’, ‘Twist and Shout’, ‘Let’s Talk About Sex’, ‘Shoop’ and ‘Whatta Man’. What a treat!

Day two of South West Four continues with a man whose name has become synonymous with the festival - Carl Cox. He returns to Clapham Common to host his Carl Cox & Friends Arena with techno lords Dubfire, Adam Beyer, London institution Layo & Bushwacka and German duo M.A.N.D.Y.

Top those names off with global superstar Fatboy Slim surrounded by a whole host of other outstanding names on his Southern Fried main stage and you have yourself quite the party eh? True, but that’s not even half of what’s in store for you this August Bank Holiday weekend.

For the full line-up visit the SW4 website and get your tongue wagging.

Utterly packed-out with dance’s biggest names, you’re going to wish you could slice yourself into ten to see all the acts at this year’s South West Four. Having sold out weeks prior to last year’s event, the demand for tickets is even greater this year with the festival stretching across two days. The entire Early Bird day ticket allocations have already sold out with the weekend tickets soon to follow. Standard Day Tickets are now on sale priced £40 + booking fee with weekend tickets currently priced £75 + booking fee.
