Swedish House Mafia reunion rumours intensify as Don Diablo hints at new music

Rumours about a Swedish House Mafia reunion at this weekend’s Ultra Music Festival have reached baffling levels of speculation at this point. With hints and clues flying left, right and centre – coming from the likes of Hardwell and one of the group's former lighting techs – it’s been a hectic few weeks of to-ing and fro-ing as to whether or not the disbanded EDM trio would return this weekend at the stacked Miami festival.

Despite Steve Angello claiming that there would be no such reunion, gossip has mounted hugely and now Dutch EDM DJ Don Diablo has weighed in with his own cryptic message.

Last night, he tweeted, “I wonder if SHM will be playing a new song when they play Ultra this weekend”

Now, Diablo could well just be trolling and just adding fuel to this frankly ridiculous fire but, as suspision mounts, it’s hard not to feel like this is another significant clue. Of course, this also inspires curiosity as to whether, if this reunion does happen, could there be new music on the horizon from Swedish House Mafia? Could this be the start of a full scale reformation from the trio who called it a day back in 2013? Time will tell.
